Urine DNA test GALEAS™ Bladder identifies more than 9 in 10 bladder cancers in UK multicentre study
A prospective, multicentre real‑world study across seven UK NHS haematuria clinics found GALEAS™ Bladder detected 71 of 77 bladder cancers (≈92% sensitivity) in 964 patients, with reported specificity ≈92% and negative predictive value >99%. The test, developed by Nonacus, is being evaluated by several NHS organisations; authors note limitations and call for further study.
